Who is Harlem Lacrosse and what do they do?
Mission:
To provide opportunities, relationships, and experiences that activate the skills and traits to put youth on a path to success as students, athletes, and citizens.
Harlem Lacrosse is a nonprofit youth development organization that uses the sport of lacrosse as the foundation for its year-round academic, athletic, and enrichment programs. Expanding to Boston in 2016, Harlem Lacrosse partners with Boston Public Schools in low-income neighborhoods, placing full-time program directors within partner schools to support students across three key areas: Academic Achievement, Social-Emotional Enrichment, and Athletic Development. Boston has 300 girls and boys enrolled from 5th through 12th grade.
