Understanding Lacrosse Rules

US Lacrosse is the governing body of lacrosse in the United States, primarily covering youth lacrosse. Their website, uslacrosse.org, is the best internet source to review and understand the rules of the game via articles, webinars, blogs, PDFs and videos. Note that the rules for all players are constantly scrutinized, and there are various changes to the rules each year. All of the rules are designed to make the game more fair, safer and more fun!
US Lacrosse (https://www.uslacrosse.org/rules) explains:

The rules of lacrosse govern games and equipment used. US Lacrosse, the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and the NCAA write rules for our sport…[t]he organizations often work together on rule development and player safety.
