Second Session of HGR Soccer Futsal Starts February 15th
You’ve seen the words “Soccer Futsal” before; on HGR’s pages, blogs and social media. But if you haven’t played, you can’t fully grasp the pace, the fun, and the skill-development Futsal offers.
Futsal started in South America (Uruguay) in 1930. It’s a 5-a-side game that, unlike regular soccer, is played indoors on a harder court. (Our games are played at HGR’s Indoor facility in North Andover.) The ball is heavier and filled with foam, so it bounces less than a soccer ball. Due to the small court as opposed to the huge, open soccer field, the players’ foot skills and quick thinking ability are ripened and honed. It’s a technically demanding sport, the tempo is fast, and it’s a lot of fun to watch. Futsal is a sport unto itself, but the skills translate to the outdoor soccer field perfectly.
Don’t miss out!
