It was May 27, 2018, when the Merrimack College Warriors won the DII National Championship, 23 – 6 vs. St. Leo. If you missed the game, or just want to relive the glory of that day, here’s a fantastic behind the scenes video recap, featuring HGR’s president Bryan Brazill, and HGR Coach Mike Morgan, who is the head coach of the Warriors.

Merrimack has a long-standing association with HGR, in fact Coach Brazill was one of the top ten points producers in the country in ’04 & ’05 while playing for Merrimack lax. He currently is head assistant coach and runs Merrimack’s offense. (Check out Coach Brazill’s Merrimack bio here. )

Through the years, Merrimack has been a part of HGR in many ways, including hosting summer camps, various clinics and HGR Elite tryouts. We congratulate Merrimack College Lacrosse on their latest honor, their to move from NCAA DII to Division I! This is a HUGE move for the National Champs, who will be joining the Northeast Conference to compete with other powerhouse teams, including St. Joseph’s and Bryant University. I foresee a DI championship coming to North Andover!
